Many times it has been noticed that after updating Xbox Controller firmware to the latest version Xbox Controller has stopped working. In this case downgrading controller firmware to the previous version has resolved the issue. So in this article I am going to provide you steps on how to Rollback/Downgrade/Revert Xbox One Controller Firmware using Xbox Console.
Note- You need Xbox Console to rollback controller firmware.
Power On the console, go to the Xbox Home screen, select Xbox Assist, on the top select Get Help. Select Console & Accessories, open Controller Folder, scroll down and open “My controller has connection issues after the last update” folder.
Now connect the Xbox Controller to the Xbox Console using a USB cable as shown in the video provided below. Once Controller is connect click on Check controller firmware.
Now you will see the option “Revert Firmware” select this option. Once rollback is done, restart console and the rollback should be successful.
