Fix MORDHAU Server Issue, Crashing, Freezing, Cursor Issue Connectivity and Graphics Issue

Overview: MORDHAU is a multiplayer medieval hack ‘n slash game developed by Slovenian independent studio Triternion. Today in this post we will provide steps to fix MORDHAU Server Issue, Crashing, Freezing, Cursor Issue Connectivity and Graphics Issue on PC.

Let’s start with the troubleshooting.

Check the System Requirement for MORDHAU

Most of the issues occur when your computer does not meet the minimum system requirement to play the game. Fix Server Issue/No Server Found

Use official Frontline and Horde servers via the Server Browser. Also, make sure to add the game to Windows firewall and your antivirus.

Server Browser is Empty

Use Refresh Option and wait for 30-40 seconds.

Fix Mouse Cursor Issue/Main Menu Does Not Work

Use the F11 key on the keyboard and select the resolution to fix the cursor issue.

Mouse Alignment Issue/Main Menu Graphics Issue

Use the F11 key on the keyboard and select the resolution to fix the resolution issue.

Or

Use Alt+Enter key on the keyboard to get into the Windowed mode and then use the Settings to change the resolution to fix this.

Game Freezing on Startup

Wait for some time, it seems like frozen but it may take some time to come up. If not fixed use the Esc key on the keyboard.

Fix Low FPS

Step 1

  • Open Nvidia Control Panel by making a right click on the desktop
  • Select Manage 3D Settings and select MORDHAU from the Program Settings and set the Power Management to Prefer Maximum Power

Step 2

  • Type Graphics Settings in the Windows search box and open Graphics Settings.
    Classic App should be selected by default. Click on Browse and select the .exe file of MORDHAU game.
  • Now click on Options after it has been added and Select High Performance option when it prompts the new window and click on Save.
  • Now go to the installation directory and launch the .exe file of MORDHAU as an administrator. Avoid using the desktop shortcut.

Black Screen Issue

First, use ALT + ENTER key on the keyboard to go to Windows mode in case you can hear the sound in the background. If not fixed, Verify or Repair MORDHAU in Steam.

Unable to Play MORDHAU Game, MORDHAU Exe Blocked.

Add MORDHAU  exe file through Controlled folder access.

Type in Windows Defender in the windows search box to open Windows Security.

Can’t Launch the Game

Add game exe file to the Windows firewall or antivirus. Run the game as an administrator.

Flickering Green Screen

Run the game in borderless windowed mode.

Update Graphics Driver.

Controller Issue MORDHAU

  • Right Click MORDHAU in your game library
  • In General Tab  find Steam Input Per-Game Setting
  • Select Forced Off
  • Restart Game

Or

Go to Steam Big Picture > Library > MORDHAU> Manage Game > Controller Configuration > Disable Mouse config.

Or

  • Launch steam in picture mode.
  • In the game, press the Xbox button in the middle.
  • It should give you controller config options.

Fix PS4 and DS4 Controller Not Working in MORDHAU

Try these workarounds:

  • Update DS4Windows, in the settings, check the hide DS4 Controller, now reboot your game
  • Open Steam library and choose MORDHAU, select manage Game and go to Controller Settings and Choose the Gyro option and set it to None.
  • Also, try downloading the top community profile PS4 pad. Try switching the position of the X and Circle buttons.
  • Make a right click on the taskbar and select task manager to launch task manager, go to the services tab, make a right click on the NvContainerLocalSystem and click stop. Also, turn off In-Game Overlay in Nvidia GeForce Experience.
  • Install the latest version of DS4Windows, disable Steam gamepad emulation, turn off the In-Game overlay in Nvidia GeForce Experience, Choose Hide DS4 Controller in the DS4Windows settings, and reboot the game
  • In the game, press the PlayStation button on the controller and go to the controller settings and switch gyro function from mouse to none.
  • While in game press Shift + Tab and it will show you controller config on the upper right in the overlay menu. Switch from mouse to None.

Also, try running the game as an administrator.

Graphics issues with MORDHAU

Visit your system manufacturer’s website to update system BIOS, audio driver and all the necessary driver especially the graphics card driver.

After updating the drivers restart your computer and launch MORDHAU.

Fix Loading or Launching Issues While Saving or Loading MORDHAU

In case you are facing MORDHAU loading or launching issue then it might be antivirus or firewall which does not allow the game to load because it recognizes game files as potentially harmful and blocks it from running. Reinstall the game and add an exception to Antivirus and Firewall or Disable Windows Firewall and Antivirus. Only disabling firewall or antivirus cannot be enough as some of these services may still be running on the background.

Perform Clean Boot

Type in msconfig in Windows search box and click on System Configuration.

Click the Services tab and check the box to Hide all Microsoft Services, then click the Disable All button.

Now click on the Startup tab, then click on Open Task Manager.

Click each of the Startup programs in the list then click the Disable button. Disable all.

Close the Task Manager window.

Click OK on the System Configuration window to save your changes.

Restart the system and try launching MORDHAU game again.

Stop the Windows 10 Apps From Running in the Background

If your browsers are running in the background please close it.

Open Windows 10 setting by pressing Windows + I key on the keyboard, then click on Privacy and then scroll down and select Background apps and disable all the apps which you do not need.

Fix Audio Issue MORDHAU

Restart the game, if not resolved do the following:

Make sure Windows sound is not on mute. Make a right click on the speaker icon on the bottom right of your screen and click on Sounds and go to Playback tab and disable all the sound devices except the internal speaker or the speaker which you want to use.

Also, try changing the audio from surround sound to stereo.

If you face low sound or any issue with the audio, make sure to update audio driver and run Troubleshoot Sound problems by making a right click on Windows speaker icon.

Uninstall and Reinstall MORDHAU

If somehow game files have gone corrupt then uninstalling and reinstalling Imperator Rome may fix the issue.

Reinstall the Windows 10

Sometimes corrupt OS does not allow you to play the MORDHAU properly. Reinstalling Windows 10 may fix the issue.
