Overview: Hitman 2 is a stealth game developed by IO Interactive and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.  Gamers are facing many issues such as loading, crashing, freezing, connectivity, and graphics issue while playing the game. Today in this article we will troubleshoot these issues and help you to get the best gameplay experience on PC.

So, let’s start with real user’s practical scenarios!

Scenario 1: Hitman 2 Crashing

Playing on PC and currently crashing every time I attempt to load a mission. I have tried Hawke’s Bay and Miami, but both crashed as soon as the loading was completed. I could play 2016 fine, but I am probably below the recommended for cpu. CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 (3.4ghz quad core), GFX: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 970. I have the game installed on an SSD and I have tried verifying the files on steam in case something went wrong when trying to download the episodes individually. I don’t have all the levels downloaded at the moment, but in the process of finishing it out just to see if that has any effect on it, but I doubt it will.

Scenario 2: Unable to launch Hitman 2

I literally can’t even get the game to launch (Steam, Gold edition). I can change the graphics settings via the launcher, but clicking “play” just closes the game with no error message or anything. Verifying cache does nothing. I have the latest drivers (416.81). Changing graphics settings around does nothing. Running as admin, disabling steam cloud sync does nothing. Did a full reinstall and it still won’t work. i7 7700k, 1080ti, 32gb ram, installed on ssd. Please help

Scenario 3: Hitman 2 Miami Error.

Playing Miami, I’m in the garage as a mechanic, I loaded the pneumatic gun and then a blue error screen popped up.

system-settings

On Performance Option Window under advanced click on Change

Change

On Virtual Memory window, uncheck Automatically manage paging file size for all drives.

From the list, select the drive on which Windows 10 is installed. (C: in most cases is already selected) click to select the Custom size radio button. Now type the minimum and maximum size of the Pagefile in megabytes (MB) according to the physical memory present in your computer.

Change-Virtual-memory

Now how to calculate Windows 10 Virtual Memory: Initial size is one and a half (1.5) x the amount of total system memory. Maximum size is three (3) x the initial size. So, in this system we have 8 GB (1 GB = 1,024 MB x 8 = 8192 MB) of memory. The initial size would be 1.5 x 8192 = 12288 MB and the maximum size would be 3 x 12288= 36864 MB.

Now click on Set and hit OK. Restart your PC and launch Hitman 2.
