Please read before troubleshooting: In case your HDD/SSD has any other than Macintosh HD, then consider that name in place of Macintosh HD as this post will mention Macintosh HD as the HDD/SSD name.
In this post we assume that the Macintosh HD icon is present on your desktop screen. In case icon is missing then on the desktop then you can select Preferences from the Finder menu:
Put a check in the Hard disks box.
In case you don’t want Macintosh HD icon on your desktop screen then from the Go menu in Finder find Macintosh HD by selecting Computer.
Steps To Fix Error “You Do Not Have Permission To Open The Application “Canon IJScanner”
In the Finder, go to Macintosh HD/Library/Image Capture/Devices
Do a Control-click or make a right-click on CanonIJScanner*** (here *** means alphanumeric characters), now click on Open as shown in the pic below:
Now try scanning again
