Check the System Requirement
Most of the issues occur when your computer does not meet the minimum system requirement to play the game. You may experience significant problems while playing the game, so please make sure your PC meets the minimum configuration to play Apex Legends. Check Connectivity to Easy Anti-Cheat

When you visit this link, you should receive a message “OK: connection successful”
If you do not receive this error message, ensure that nothing is blocking your Internet connection. Add Easy Anti-Cheat and the game folder to your firewall exception list or temporarily disable your firewall. Antivirus or firewall which does not allow the game to load because it recognizes game files as potentially harmful and blocks it from running. Add exceptions for Apex Legends. Call your Antivirus company if you need help in adding an exception for Apex Legends. Most of the time Antivirus causes your game to crash or freeze so if you have multiple security running on the system then disable all the antivirus except one or try switching to another antivirus if one particular antivirus is causing the issue.
Fix Apex Legends Crash On AMD FX 6xxx
Disable cores 5 and 6 in the system BIOS.
Start your system and keep tapping function key, usually, it is F2 or F12 as per the brand of your PC.
Find CPU core control, it may under advanced settings, contact your manufacturer as each brand has different BIOS settings.
In the AMD FX6xxx series, the number of the core will be 6, disable 5th and 6th core, save the settings and exit.
Once the system restarts, launch Apex Legends.
Set Anti-Cheat Priority to Low in Task Manager
- Launch the game.
- Open Task Manager by pressing CTRL + ALT + DELETE
- In the Details tab, find Easy Anti-Cheat program and make a right click and Set priority to low.
Close Overlays and Application Running in Background
Close programs and overlays running in the background like Discord overlay, GeForce Experience Overlay, TeamSpeak, Origin in-game and FPS counter, Asus GPU Tweak II, MSI Afterburner, EVGA Precision, Shadowplay, Aura for ASUS, RivaTuner OSD, RivaTuner statistics, GeForce Experience, Radeon ReLive, Voicemeeter, FRAPS, OBS studio, Razer Synapse 3, Razer Cortex, and Razer Chroma Kit.
Fix Apex Legends Connection Error
In case you are unable to play with your family members or friends with Nighthawk routers, do the following:
This issue is generally seen with NETGEAR Nighthawk routers.
Visit “routerlogin.com” on your browser and log in
Go to Advanced option, select setup and then select WAN setup
Change Nat Filtering from secured to open
In case of Wi-Fi connection save the IPs of the systems on the network which you will use for multiplayer so that it does not change.
When you are using ethernet cable on the desktop and another member is using notebook then save the IP for the laptop on the Network to avoid connection error with Apex Legends.
Fix Server Time Out Error in Apex Legends for AMD FX 6xxx, FX 6300 Users
Workaround to fix this:
- Launch the game, enter the match and when the game crashes, minimize the game. Press Windows key + R to open run box and type in services.msc
- On the Services find Windows Audio and Windows Audio Endpoint Builder and stop the services by making a right click and click on Stop.
- Now After you disabled the services, restart the services by making a right click and click on Start
- Close the services window and join your match.
Steps to Fix Launch Error Access is Denied Problem with Apex Legends
The cause seems to be RGB controllers and RGB services such as Corsair iCue, Asus Aura, Gigabyte RGB Fusion and EVGA lighting including third-party lighting services.
- Update Apex Legends Game.
- Uninstall all the lighting software and restart your computer.
- In case, you never installed RGB software then uninstall and reinstall Origin.
Fix Low FPS with Apex Legends
Type Graphics Settings in the Windows search box and open Graphics Settings.
Classic App should be selected by default. Click on Browse and select the .exe file of Apex Legends game.
Now click on Options after it has been added and Select High Performance option when it prompts the new window and click on Save.
Now go to the installation directory and launch the .exe file of Apex Legend as an administrator. Avoid using the desktop shortcut.
Open Nvidia Control Panel by making a right click on the desktop.
Select Manage 3D Settings and select Apex Legends from the Program Settings and set the Power Management to Prefer Maximum Power.
- Launch Origin
- Go to My Game Library and make a right click on Apex Legends game and select Game Properties
- Click on Advanced Launch Options and put in Command Line Arguments: +fps_max 75. (You can also try lower setting (100, 90, 80, etc.)
Fix Cloud Syncing Issue with Apex Legends
Click on Origin on the top left-hand side
Click on Application Settings
Now click on INSTALLS & SAVES and turn on the Saves Button if it is not on.
Update Windows to Play Apex Legends
Open Windows setting by pressing Windows + I key on the keyboard, then click on Update & Security, now click on Check for updates to update Windows

Run DISM and SFC Scan Command to repair Windows.
Open Command prompt by typing cmd in the Windows search box. Make a right click on cmd and open it as an administrator.
Then enter the below command and hit enter
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
It may take some time to complete, once done enter the below command on the same command prompt window and hit enter.
Once done update the Windows once again.
Run Origin and Apex Legends as an Administrator
Right-click the Apex Legends desktop shortcut and click on Properties.
If you don’t have one, look for the yourgamename.exe file in C:/Program Files (x86)/Origin Games/Apex
Click on the Compatibility tab and check the box at the bottom under settings where it says Run this Program as an administrator and Click Apply and OK.
Repair Apex Legends from Origin
Go to Origin and click on My Game Library, make a right click on Apex Legends and then click on Repair.
Once the repair is finished, restart your PC and launch Apex Legends.
Also, try Right-clicking on the desktop shortcut icon and run troubleshoot compatibility before launching.
Visit your system manufacturer’s website to update system BIOS and all the necessary driver especially the graphics card driver.
NVIDIA Users: GeForce Experience can be used to check and update the drivers automatically, visit the below link to auto update or update it manually. Nvidia has released a new driver for Apex Legends game which can be downloaded from the below link. Click on Download for Automatic Driver Updates from the below link and download GeForce Experience and use GeForce Experience to check and update the drivers automatically
AMD Users: Visit the below link to auto-detect or manually select your driver.
In case, the game still crashes Roll back your GPU drivers. It has been noticed that drivers 417.71 & 417.35 stop crashing for Apex Legends players.
If you have an AMD FX6000 series CPU, disabling 2 cores results in no crashes as mentioned here.
- Try lowering the graphical settings within your in-game settings menu and also switching from Full Screen to Windowed mode or Borderless from in the in-game settings.
- Turn off G-Sync (NVIDIA) or Freesync (AMD)
- Turn off G-Sync (NVIDIA) or Freesync (AMD)
- Disable Shadowplay
- Disable MSI Afterburner
- Adjust Ambient Occlusion in the NVIDIA control panel (Manage 3D Settings)
- Adjust or disable all forms of Vsync for your monitor
- Downclock GPU to default settings
- Try uninstalling GeForce Experience (NVIDIA)
- Increase your GPU and Windows power setting to Max. Open up “NVIDIA Control Panel” -> from the NVIDIA Control Panel, select the “Manage3D settings” from the left column -> click on the Power management mode drop down box and select “Prefer Maximum Performance”.
- Try reducing Texture Streaming from the in-game settings
- Reducing VRAM usage from 8Go to 6Go (streaming texture option)
- Switch from Full Screen to Window mode or Borderless from In-game Settings
Stop the Windows Apps from Running in the Background
Open Windows 10 setting by pressing Windows + I key on the keyboard, click on Privacy and then scroll down and select Background apps and disable all the apps which you do not need.
Doing this will run Apex Legends smoothly.
Close programs and overlays running in the background like Discord overlay, Origin in-game, Asus GPU Tweak II, MSI afterburner, Aura for ASUS, RivaTuner OSD, RivaTuner statistics. There might be some type of program running in the background or installed on your PC that is causing a conflict with Origin.
Flush the DNS
This troubleshooting is for the connectivity issue when you are getting kicked off from the Apex Legends game with an error “You have lost connection to the session” or “couldn’t connect due to latency problems” or “Connection to Servers Timed out” or any kind of connectivity issue while playing Apex Legends online.
- Type cmd in the Windows search box and then make a right click on Command Prompt to Run as an Administrator.
- When the command prompt opens, type ipconfig/flushdns and press Enter.
- Repeat the same process for below commands.
- Type ipconfig /release and press Enter.
- Type ipconfig /renew and press Enter.
- Type netsh winsock reset and press Enter.
Reboot your computer and launch Apex Legends.
Fix Graphical Tearing
This occurs mainly because of the game running at a higher refresh rate than your monitor can handle.
You might know that disabling v-sync can reduce graphical tearing, but still, you are facing tearing while playing Apex Legends game then toggling v-sync to on in your game settings might fix it.
Fix Micro stuttering
Micro stuttering (shudders and jolts while moving) happens when the game is not optimized properly, particularly when its played under multiple Direct X versions.
Disable latest Direct X version and restart your game. In case you are doing this please keep an eye on the patch notes for the Apex Legends game to know when it is fine to re-enable it. Micro stuttering can sometimes be a driver issue, it may be driver conflicting or maybe the latest driver not working well with Apex Legends game. In this case, you might need to wait for the new driver to fix it.

In this case, a large number of pixels on the screen changes colors, it may be green, pink or like a rainbow. The game may be running on the background but you only see green or rainbow artifact.

Check if the fan is working and reseat the graphics card if its a CRU(Customer Replaceable Unit) component
Rubberbanding when the in-game character gets back to the starting point. It tries to move but comes back to the original place. This is generally a connectivity issue, not a graphics issue, use broadband Wifi connection or ethernet cable to connect. Make sure there is no issue from your ISP.
Use CCleaner to Fix Crashing PC Issues
Corrupt or out of date file may cause crashing or many more issues while playing Apex Legends game. It is recommended to use CCleaner to fix many PC issues which will improve the game performance.
Perform Clean Boot
Type in msconfig in Windows search box and click on System Configuration.
Click the Services tab and check the box to Hide all Microsoft Services, then click the Disable All button.
Now click on the Startup tab, then click on Open Task Manager.
Click each of the Startup programs in the list then click the Disable button. Disable all.
Close the Task Manager window.
Click OK on the System Configuration window to save your changes.
Restart the system and try launching Apex Legends game again.
Uninstall and Reinstall Apex Legends
If somehow game files have gone corrupt then uninstalling and reinstalling Apex Legends may fix the issue.
In order to uninstall the game, log in to the Origin and click on My Game Library, make a right click on Apex Legends and then click on Uninstall.
Fix Freezing Issue When Launching Apex Legends with Overclocking
Do Not Overclock or Turbo Boost a Processor or GPU. In case you are opting for Overclocking or Turbo Boosting hardware in your computer, then we suggest resetting the processor or GPU to the manufacturer specifications, as doing so may prevent any crashing and freezing.
Also, disable Intel Turbo Booster from BIOS settings and in case you are not able to figure out contact your system manufacturer
Please keep in mind that higher settings maximize the workload for the system hardware overall, even if your system exceeds the minimum system requirement for the game.
Opting for reduced graphical features in the game is recommended if you are experiencing an issue with performance and stability.
Reinstall Windows 10

How to scramble up walls to cover a large distance
Hold the jump button and the Legend will scramble up the wall and mantle on the top. This will help to cover a large distance, change position, escapes, and saving time.
The color of the damage text shows the enemy’s armor
When you shoot at an enemy wearing armor, you see a small icon showing you that it is a tough target. The color indicates the level of the armor.
Without Armer- Red
Level 1- White
Level 2- Blue
Level 3- Purple
Use Red Balloons
Did you notice the big red balloons scattered around? zipline them up to glide wherever you desire. Use it to cross the map fast especially when the circle is closing, you can also use it in combat and ambushes. Boost yourself or team and drop it above or behind the other team to jump on them. Use balloons to escape difficult situations, be wise to distract your hunters first.
Kick the door down
Many players may not be knowing that you can break the doors. Use grenades/melee to break the door.
Death Boxes glow color indication
In case, the box has Common stuff, and a single Rare (blue) body shield, it will glow blue.
But in case, the box has Common and Rare items (white and blue) and a single Legendary (gold) item, it’ll glow gold.
No Entry Symbols
No Entry symbols on items you are carrying mean you can’t use them with your current weapons, so drop them for your team instead.
Climbing wall tip
If you are climbing a wall you can let go of jump just short, and hold onto the edge. It’s great for sneaky peeking.
