Run SFC Scan and DISM Command

When you type cmd in the Windows search box, Command Prompt App will pop up, make a right-click on the Command Prompt app and click on Run as administrator. Click on Yes to allow the app. Now on the command prompt screen type in sfc /scannow and hit the Enter key on the keyboard.

Let the scan complete till 100 percent. Once completed restart your PC and try updating the Windows once again. In case still, you are receiving error then run the DISM command. To run DISM command open Windows Powershell, type Powershell in Windows search box and make a right-click on Windows PowerShell app and click on Run as administrator. On the Powershell windows, copy and paste the command provided below:

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Let the scan complete to 100 percent, restart your computer and update your Windows once again.

Use Windows Update Assistant

If your Windows 10 is already updated to the previous version and you want to install the latest one then using Windows Update Assistant would be the best way to avoid all the errors. Visit the Microsoft website, click on Update now. This will download a small exe file, run that exe file and update your Windows 10 to the latest version.

If nothing works then using Media Creation Tool is the last step which anyone can follow.
